Rock me, Nostradamus


In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks, e-mails have been circulating that claim to "prove" the attacks on the World Trade Center were predicted by 16th Century French prognosticator Nostradamus. Allegations such as these circulate after nearly every major disaster and are now the French's only contribution to the world stage. What other events have Nostradamus's prophetic quatrains supposedly foretold? Read and be amazed!

Quatrain 5:32
King clad in white and shiny stars
with uncontrolled sweetmeat appetite.
Jungle room and three man-made eyes.
Leaves the building on a porcelain throne.

followed by repossessions
and a return to the family home.

Predicts the tech bubble and subsequent bust.

in a summer swelter.
Birds flew out
from a fallout shelter.
